I've just begun this endeavor. It's going to track all the things I pick up along the way of becoming an ethical and responsible journalist. We've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. Now, it's time to focus on being the best.
Day one:
Twitter is hard. I mean, tweeting something that is worth reading is a little difficult. I don't want to do the "I'm eating dinner" tweet. I want to do something dynamic....confined to 140 characters. Crazy.
I think the reason we like this is because it's challenging. It's like writing a summary lede and being limited to 140 little letters.
I'm still working on it. I'm still trying to pare-down my usually verbose language. I am, after all, a girl and girls will always be terrible at trying to casually tell a story. (But then again, that's what makes us such wonderful feature writers.)
